Mike Blick: "Sailin Away"
Sailin' Away is a collection of songs posthumously dedicated to my brother, Mike, who never lived to see it published. It was given to me in 1990 by Mike, saying to "keep or do whatever you want with". I listened, and was amazed. Cassettes had long since been replaced by CD's when he passed, but thank Goodnes I found it after a long search - perhaps the only remnant of his abundant musical talent. Though he'd lost his battle with physical forces at an all too early age, his spirit lives on in his music. All at once moving and profound, then lighthearted and silly, Mike has a way with words and music that turns your heart around. A philosopher with an eye for what is truly important, his unselfish generosity would want you to hear it too.
